Viñales Valley is certainly among the most fascinating places in Cuba.
Famous for being considered the area where the best tobacco leaves in the world are produced, it offers breathtaking landscapes and the spectacular flora of the National Park, declared a world heritage site by Unesco.
Here time flows slowly...following the rhythm of the local people grinding coffee, rolling a cigar, riding horses or preparing a drink from a sugar cane.

Tour Program
The driver will pick you up at the time you prefer in the vehicle of your choice to reach the Vinales Valley unless you don't want to add a stop at Pinar del rio or Soroa Waterfall.
The journey time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Our first stop in Vinales will be the Hotel Los Jazmines.
From the "mirador" (viewpoint) outside the Hotel you can admire the wonderful Mogotes
and the whole valley from above.
A mogote by definition is an isolated and steep sided slope which has some sides that are more like a cliff overlooking a lake or the sea. Some look like a dome built in the center of the land, as if they don't belong.
The standard itinerary includes a visit to the Indio Cave, an optional organic lunch at one of the best paladares in the area, a stop at the Prehistoric Wall and a visit to one of the many farms where you can admire a plantation of tobacco and coffee, take an optional horseback or horsecart ride through the valley and assist the processing of tobacco leaves from the sowing to the final product. They will make some handmade cigars in front of you and you will be also offered a free sample!
However, since this is a completely private tour, if you don't want to follow the classic itinerary, you will be totally free to decide where to go or what to do until 4.30 - 5.30pm according to the season) and your driver will take you wherever you want.
At the end of the day you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Havana unless you would like to end your tour in Vinales and spend few more days in the area on your own.
